About Us
People’s Action For Development (PAD) is a Non-Profit, Non-Governmental Organization which was founded in 2004 by few like-minded people from a different section of the society inspired the idea of establishment of peace, equality, justice, and homogeneity in the society and founded with the noble ideas of People’s Action for Development (PAD). It is believed that the actions of the people play the most important role in the development of society. Therefore, it commits to the philosophy by transferring the ownership of all its efforts to the community. The registered office of the organization currently situated in District Nawada. PAD’s geographical area for intervention with communities is the entire province of Nawada, with a focus on rural areas. Their important area of interventions is Nawada, Vaishali, Gaya, Jamui,
Siwan & Shekhpura. Nowadays the organization is on the way to have interventions in the 24 blocks of the above-mentioned districts of Bihar. More than 52 part-time field staff and 4 full-time staff are working with us. At the management level, a core team of 4 professionals are working efficiently to manage the projects. The support is also extended by the technical experts and experienced professionals of rural development. The organization believes that Rural Development is the key to sustainable development and it has been involved in the preparation of various kinds of projects in the fields of education, health awareness, and capacity building. Board of Directors is the governing body of the organization, which is involved in policy issues of the organization. The BOD members appoint the head of the organization that is fully responsible for the overall activities of the organization. Regular audit of accounts is conducted by external auditors.
People’s Action For Development is registered with the Registrar of Societies under Society Registration Act 21, 1860 and the type of NGO is Registered Societies (Non-Government) and the Registration Number is 1189/2003-04. The city and state of registration are Nawada and Bihar. We are also registered under section 12 A of the Income Tax Act, 1961 bearing Registration No.— 12 A/ 22/2007-08. Also Registered under section 80G of the Income Tax Act 1961 bearing Registration No.— 80 G 189-92 dated 09/05/2012. Our Unique Id of VO/NGO is BR/2019/0244935. The date of registration is 10/01/2004.
