Training on Skill Development
During the financial year of 2018-19, Skill development training on communication skills, IT Literacy skill, Soft skills and life skills for workplace readiness have been done based on TNA in the respective area. The aforesaid training programs have been organized at Kushal Yuva Centre-Roh and Hisua in Nawada District and Kushal Yuva Centre-Chewara and Ghat Kusumbha in Shekhpura district. Society has started to support and develop the youth mass especially underprivileged sections of society for consultancy, training, placement and career counseling.
The organization also aims to strengthen and enhance the entrepreneurial motivation and management skills of local youth by providing necessary management and technical capabilities required to conceptualize and enable micro-enterprises/ small business start-ups. In the year of 2018-19, 889 candidates are admitted and trained at the Block skill development center, Hisua, Roh, Chewara, and Ghatkushumba. Out of 889 candidates, 824 candidates are passed out.
Health Services Programme
Our institution for the betterment of health Munger Nawada Sheikhpura Vaishali Gaya in the districts of Bihar state, for the betterment of patients in hospitals located in rural areas under the Government of Bihar, cleaning of hospital, food to the admitted patients, alternative power supply by the generator being done.
Skill Development Program
The society has conducted various skill development training programs under the Livelihood Income generation program for the poor women. The society has conducted a Skill Development and Training program where one workshop was held for the self-employment of the youth and women. The members from SHGs groups are engaged in the skill development program where they can learn some new business ideas, get training on them. About 48 members of 4 SHGs have been trained in Agarbatti Production and 44 members of other 4 SHGs have given training on Churi-Lahati.
Special School for Child Labors
Every child has the right to get basic education and attend school; we try to provide child laborers minimum education. Two child labor special schools in Nawada Block have been started under the program of National Child Labor Project, Govt. of India, New Delhi. 100 children have been benefited through the program of child labor school.
Toilet Construction and Create Awareness
The facility of using a clean sanitary toilet is not available in the rural areas of Nawada District. 600 toilets for the BPL & POP family in three villages of Sirdala block and two villages of Nardiganj Blocks of Nawada district. We have also initiated the awareness program on the total sanitation campaign in both blocks of the Nawada district. In the sanitation campaign, people have been made aware of the use of the toilet and safe drinking water.
Formation and Management of SHGs
Self-help groups are the best association to solve the problems of poor people in rural areas by providing business ideas. Many small banks give loans to start small businesses through a group. We are focusing on creating some small self-help groups who can take a loan from the bank and do business themselves. Our women members make little groups where local women take part and get training over different things like vocational training, training to make handicrafts, pickle making, chips making, etc. In this
program, we have tied up with the local administration to provide SHG training to the female members. We have chosen two districts Nawada and Siwan among which 4 blocks are selected which are Nardiganj, Narhat, Hisua and Mairwa where total 424 SGHs are formed.
Training of SHGs Members
To manage the works and business through SHG groups, the members must have enough knowledge and skill about business and management. Development of a training module on the formation and management of SHG, formation, and management of cluster leadership and Guideline of credit linkages. Self-help groups are provided training on basic concept and group dynamics i.e concept of groups, values of SHGs for the poor, the process of group meeting, selection of leaders, rotation of leaders, Responsibilities of group leaders and members, credit linkages with banks, the importance of regular saving and credit, the process of internal lending, writing of minutes, group norms and record-keeping of the group.
Food Supply for the Patients
As per the menu prescribed by the State Govt., the food package for the patient is being supplied to the five Govt. Hospitals i.e. Cholera hospital- Gaya, Primary Health Centre-Manpur, Primary health centre-Mohanpur, Primary health centre-Atari, and Primary Health Centre-Bathani. The prescribed food is to the patients four times in a day.
